主要研究领域:
随着全球气候变暖,极端恶劣天气情况越来越频繁出现,植物必须面临更严重、更频繁的高温胁迫。植物生长、发育等各个方面必然也越来越多地受到高温胁迫的影响。值得关注的是,植物开花、受精、胚胎发育等有性生殖发育过程更容易受到高温胁迫的影响。而植物尤其是作物的生殖发育同当前我们面对的严峻的粮食安全问题紧密相关。
本实验室以拟南芥和大豆为模式植物,研究极端气候环境对植物生殖发育影响的分子机制。利用细胞生物学、分子生物学、遗传学和其他技术的整合,来阐明在不同的生物和非生物胁迫背景下控制雌配子体形成和分化的遗传途径,为开发高产和抗逆新作物品种提供理论依据。此外,本实验室还致力于改进whole mount-smFISH技术及其在植物生物学研究中的应用。
