On May 11th and 12th, the "Peking University Young Leaders Training Program in Seed Industry," jointly organized by the School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences, Peking University and the China Seed Association, took place at the Peking University Institute of Advanced Agricultural Sciences. Over 30 outstanding young talents from seed industry enterprises, representing more than 20 cities across the country, participated in the training program.

 

 

Dr. Xing Wang Deng, the Director of the Institute, along with Deputy Director Xingping Zhang and the committee member of the Joint Party-Government Meeting, Wanggen Zhang, delivered keynote speeches titled "Precision Design Breeding of Crops," " Theory and Practice of Commercial Breeding," and "Biotechnology Innovation and Application."

 

Vice Director Dingding Su from the Institute, as well as the representatives of laboratory directors, participated in the related activities. During the program, the participants visited various facilities including the Shared Hall, Cryo-electron Microscopy Platform, intelligent greenhouse, and experimental base at the research institute for on-site teaching experiences. Additionally, a range of team-building activities and academic salons were conducted, enriching the overall learning experience.
